PROFILE OF CD BLOCK LUMLA

             Lumla CD Block with its Headquarter at Lumla under Tawang District is situated in the extreme west of Arunachal Pradesh between 27’33N to 27’50N Latitude and 91’30E to 91’55E Longitude. Total area of the block is 618 SqKM. It is bounded by the Indo-China Border or McMohan Line to the North, to the East is the boundary of Tawang CD Block, Indo-Bhutan Border to the West and to the South is the jurisdiction of Thingbu-Mukto CD Block intersected by Tawang-chu River. The block is inhabited by Monpa people who are Buddhist by religion.
