OFFICE OF THE SUPERINTENDENT OF POLICE, TAWANG
SP: He is the head of a District Policing and helps the District Administration in maintenance of Law and order, Security, Prevention and detection of crimes etc.
DYSP: He assists the SP and looks after his works as and when required.
CI/RI: He looks after the workings of Police Stations such as supervision of investigation of important crimes, maintenance of Law and order in their jurisdictions, discipline and moral of Police Station personnel’s etc. The RI is responsible for command and control of the Reserve force including their transfer/postings and leave etc. Detailment of security guards, maintenance of police accommodation and land etc. are also been dealt through him.
RO: He is next to RI and takes care of the discipline, command and control, detailment of static guards/VIP securities/law and order etc.
OC SB: He deals with the collection of advance intelligence as regards to crimes, political activities, student activities, movement of anti- social elements, movement of VIP’s and any kind of developmental activities.
CRIME READER: He maintains the district crime records progress and pending investigations etc.
MTO: He maintains the records of transportations its detailment and movement.
OC WT: he is the overall incharge of the WT Stations, its equipments and personnels for smooth communications in an outside.
ESTT: Deals with the service matters of the personnels including transfer posting, leave, promotion, pension, DE punishment etc.
ACCTTS: Preparation of budgets and utilization of funds and maintenance of its records.
OC’s: There are three Police Stations the concerned OC’s are responsible for prevention and detection of crime, maintenance of law and order, movement of VIP’s, security of life and properties, security of important installation control of anti social elements etc. including discipline of the force in their jurisdictions.
